(C-V Measurements)

Spectra-Solaris has put in place an advanced and effective laboratory set-up for impedance spectroscopy of organic and thin fims solar cells.

The relevant information which can be obtained form this kind of measurements could be used for deriving a number of significant semiconductor and device parameters important for evaluating materials, devices and their technologies.

This technique consists mainly from measuring the impedance of the sample under dfifferent DC biases with an AC excitation over a wide range of frequencies.

The possibilities of these measurements are well known to the specialists in semiconductor physics but some basic information could be obtained from our site. For supplementary information click here.

Our equipment specifications are the following:

  • Capacitance Range: 0.1 pF to 10 nF
  • Resistance Range: 1 Ohm to 1 M Ohm
  • Accuracy: ±2% of reading
  • Ramp Generator: ±1 V to ±100 V
  • Stress: Continuously adjustable from zero to ±100 V
  • Standard Excitation: 15 mV rms at 1 MHz
  • Standard Testing Frequency: 1 MHz
  • Possible Frequency Sweep Range: 0.5Hz to 120 KHz using the lock-in amplifier
  • Light Irradiation: AM1.5G or monochromatic (in the range 400 nm to 1100 nm)
