S-S SCT Solar Simulator Class Evaluator for
continuous and single flash light sources is able to measure the
irradiation spectrum mismatch (400 nm to 1100 nm) and intensity (300 W/m2 to 1200
W/m2).
The uniformity and time stability could be measured, too. The
instrument is giving directly the solar simulator class in accordance to IEC
60904-9.Spectral power distribution verification allows the
operator to check the time stability of the spectral irradiance of a
solar simulator and to correct cell output for spectral mismatch
between the solar simulator and reference spectral irradiation
distribution. The instrument is built accordingly to IEC 60904-3 and
IEC 60904-7 standards.
Key Features
Solar simulators provide light that is either
steady-state, single-pulsed or multi-pulsed.The solar simulator class
tester contains the triggering and signal conditioning circuitry as
well as a spectro-radiometer based on a 3648 element linear Silicon
CCD Array for obtaining samples
of spectral content of irradiation. The Optical Head of the SS- is
meant to sit on the test surface of the solar tester. A lensed window
on the top receives incoming light which is deflected to fiber optic
cables which transmit two beams of light to the main unit. One fiber
optic cable delivers light to the sampling circuitry, another to the
spectro-radiometer built inside the instrument. The sampling circuitry
responds to the rising edge of the light pulse in the solar tester and
generates a trigger signal which will start the data acquisition. A
manual triggering button will generate the trigger signal for
continuous light sources.
A friendly software (Windows based) will display
the simulator class result together with the spectrum curve.
