Spectra-Solaris management is provided by its founder:

Dr.Cristian I. Popescu, President and Owner

Cristian looks after the engineering department, in addition to being the company president and the owner of the company.

Cristian has a broad background in photovoltaics research and development and holds a Ph.D, and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Romania. He was an UNIDO expert in new energy sources technologies.

His photovoltaic experience covers all aspects of PV technology, from solar cell research and development to solar cells and panels manufacturing equipment design/manufacturing and to solar cells and modules testing and characterization. He has a significant expertise in electrical and mechanical design (including complex automation design) and data acquisition and processing. He is using on a regular basis different engineering software as Agilent VEE, MatLab, OriginPro, SolidWorks, AutoCad, DipTrace and Orcad as well as Ladder Logic Diagram Programming for PLCs based automation (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, etc.).

Cristian designed and built complex equipment for manufacture and testing solar cells and solar modules including in-line automated transport and sorting or even solar module laminators.
